Just a quick one to tell you all about a great podcast that is well worth a listen.
The
Java Posse consists of
Tor Norbye from Sun Microsystems, Carl Quinn from Google, and
Dick Wall from NewEnergy Associates. All very knowledgeable guys in the Java world.
The original Java podcast, The JavaCast, was very successful but lasted for only a few episodes. It died after a conflict of priorities between the founders Dick Wall and
Brandon Werner. Fortunately Dick had the dedication to keep it alive so he joined forces with Tor and Carl and the Java Posse was born.
Most episodes go for about 30 minutes (about a commute's worth of listening) and cover a wide range of topics relating to Java. They also interview prominent industry figures. Most recently they spoke with Joshua Bloch - author of Effective Java, and a major contributor to the JDK. They also have an interview lined up with
Jonathan Schwartz in the coming weeks!
